Personal connections with soccer

Yoshizawa Hitomi

I have become friends with well known people from the soccer world after starting futsal.

First of all, The Gatas coach is former Japanese soccer representative Mr Kitazawa Tsuyoshi.

The person that gave us the name "GatasBrilhantes H.P" Is actually Mr. Kitazawa.

Kitazawa san is the number one pillar that supports Gatas. He is a large existence, from his words to his actions.

As for me, when something happens I rely on the coach, but Coach is a person that feels a players independence, and often says to me "When something happens, find a solution with your comrades."

And then, Sawa Homare-san from "Nadeshiko Japan" has treated me well, and we talk about various things.

I often watch Sawa-san's games, each play is very educational.

Sawa-san is a "Japan Representative" and has that as a big burden but, when I listen to Sawa-san's stories like the difficulty of gathering a team together, or the pressure before a match, I feel that she is feeling the same things as me.

And, I learned that, regardless the situation, the most final most important thing as a player is the "Feeling to fight."

The power of supporters

Yoshizawa Hitomi

At the Gatas matches, there are always a great number of people that gather to be there.Their existence gives us a very big strength to us.

At a match I feel like "I can't lose, I've got to try my best!" when I see the supporters that bring flags to support us that they've made, or when they wear a uniform with "number 10" like me, and cheer us on.

It dosent matter what match grounds, its atmosphere is that of the Gatas Home, and mostly never is that of the Away team. To be able to do matches in such and atmosphere is all thanks to the supporters.

I would like to work harder to become an even stronger team for everyone that is cheering us on with all their might.

Athlete's personality
Yoshizawa Hitomi

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi.
I will once again go back to talking about futsal.

In sports, It is often said that an athletes personality is reflected in their play.
I feel that especially in soccer or futsal, the personality often becomes apparent.

For example, Mikitty really hates to lose so, even if there is or isn't an opponent in front of her, she aims for the goal and steadily goes for the front.

Rika-chan also hates to lose, but maybe because she liked watching sports in the first place, there are times when she gets in the most beneficial positions. She has a calm composure, and can look out around her during the match, so she does good plays in good settings.

When I think about it, I feel that everyone in Gatas is in a very suitable position right now.

Hello! 10th PARTY@ZEPP FUKUOKA
Yoshizawa Hitomi

The Hello! Project event marking the 10th year of the fan club "Hello! 10thParty" Was held on the 23rd in Fukuoka.

This event had the feelings of "gratitude" for the fans.
There were very fresh groups that did not exist untill now with Shimizu Saki, Tokunaga Chinami, Sudou Maasa, Kumai Yurina, Sugaya Risako from Berryz Koubou, and Konno Asami, and then me, Yoshizawa Hitomi and it was very enjoyable.

I was called "Old man" all day but, it was very fun and it was the first event in a while and I spent a great time with all the fans.

The handshake event was fun too~.
I will keep music important from now on too!
Please take care of Hello! Project from now on also.

Ah! I was also able to say the talking line in "The☆Peace" and it was awesome~! THANK YOU!

Mutou Mika

Hello. This is Mutou Mika.

Right now I am participating in the Ongaku Gatas first concert tour. I am trying my best not to stand in the way of my seniors on stage.

Up until now I didn't know what my special skill was, but Tsunku-san praised my dancing.

So because of that, of course with singing but, especially dancing is what i would like to work on, and would like to be able to shine in front of the fans.

As for the futsal side, I have been allowed to participate in a number of matches but, when i first played in a match as a Gatas member, I felt some reservation towards the other team and had a feeling like "Is this ok?"

But, on January 20th, the first match of the year, the coach said "You can do it. Go score a point!" and I felt like "is it alright?" and participated midway.

Eventually I received the ball and thought "I can do it!" but I got nervous and missed the goal.

After that Kore-chan said "Next time will be ok so calm down." Next time we stole the ball from the opponent and got a free, I was able to score.

All the members rushed over to where I was and was delighted, and I was very happy.

I am a fan of Nakamura Shunsuke since I was little.

The number I have on my back right now "25" is the number that Nakamura athlete has in Cerutti, so when I received it I was very happy.

I am left handed like Nakamura athlete and I would like to to plays as cool as Nakamura athlete.

Sawada Yuri

I am Sawara Yuri. Please look after me.

The Ongaku Gatas first concert tour in Tokyo has ended without any troubles.

At the begining I was very nervous, and had insecurities, but when the performance started, the distance to the fans was very close, and i could see the fan's individual faces, and there was a very good feeling of nervousness so, it was a very fun concert.

But saying that, I will still continue to change so, at the next Nagoya, Osaka performances, I would like to do a more better performance.

Fans from Nagoya and Osaka, please look forward to it!

Yoshizawa-san is cool, when she plays futsal, or sings or dances and in general.

During the concert rehersal, she gave me lots of advice, and when she had to scold me she scolded me, but when it was break time, she makes me laugh.

She is a senior that I can really respect, and I feel that I would like to be like that someday.

I did ball games during elementry school and middle school, and am good at ball games, but I still can not do futsal very expertly.

There is still a distance of skill from my seniors so, I would like to shorten that distance even by a little, and I would not like to lose to the members, that joined in the same period as me, as rivals in a good way.

I would like to practice singing and dancing and futsal with all my effort, and become much much better.

Sengoku Minami

Hello, everyone . This is Sengoku Minami.

Did you go see the First concert that was held at the Japan Junior Chamber?

As for me I felt that each member was focused on more than the usual Hello! Project concerts, so I focused more and put more seriousness into the rehearsal than I usually do.

For the performance, not just me but all the member's willingness, and seriousness appeared, did it not?

Besides, Ongaku Gatas is a unit that came from a futsal team, so it has a "sports spirit" that other units don't have, and I feel that it became a very fresh concert.

In pictures I don't look that small, but actually my hight is 149 centimeters.
But on stage, so I don't look small, I try hard so that even if I am my power doesn't lose to anyone.

Yoshizawa-san is sometimes strict, sometimes kind, always thinks about the 10 members as leader, and she is truly a leader I can rely on.

Because of Yoshizawa-san's voice the member's feelings come togeather, and there are many times where she gives us power.

For me, this time of last year, I didn't even dream that I would be putting out a CD as a singer, or that I would be doing a tour as just Ongaku Gatas. Of course it was a goal. I feel that so I don't let this chance run away, I will absorb any good things and grow alot.

Everyone, please support us!.

Mano Erina
Hello, this is Mano Erina.
I became a Gatas Brilhantes H.P member in June of last year.

When I was in middle school I was in the basketball club.

As for futsal, the court size is similar to basketball, and futsal and basketball also have 5 people playing in a match so, even while doing futsal I can do movements where I go to where there is no one and receive the ball.
But, in futsal, unlike basketball, I have to handle the ball with me feet, so its is very hard.

When I became a member I saw unsure if i could keep up, but my seniors kindly taught me various things, and through sports I am able to communicate with various people, so I would like to try my best from now on.

That and recently I have just recived my number "27".

I have been doing sports so I know how big of a thing it is to recive a number.

Now that I am doing futsal, I would like to do it steadily and be able to play in matches.

As for the Ongaku Gatas concerts, I have more apperances then before, and there are more places where I have to think and it is difficult but I feel that it is a big chance for me.

I thought a lot about how I can bring my individuality out of the 10 members.

As a result, I am the youngest person in Ongaku Gatas so, for now I thought the best was to be energetic with my smile.

Before I stood on stage, because of nervousness my face was scared but, when I stood on stage, it was very fun and it became that I could smile naturally.

I feel that it would be nice if i could bring enjoyment to the fans through my different smiles from now on.

Hello, This is Noto Arisa.
The Ongaku Gatas tour concert getting excited!!

The Tokyo public performance just ended but, different from concerts up until now, the time I am on stage is long, and I have been given many solo parts, so I feel that it is really worth doing.(o^∇^o)ノ

For this tour's goods, every member of Gatas has a T-shirt with their color.
From on stage, I saw fans wearing my light purble T-shirt and thought " There are this many people cheering for me. I need to try harder!" and "I want to show them the best performance because they are spending their time to watch us for our sakes." even more than before.

24th of this month at Nagoya, 2nd of next month at Osaka there will be performances but, we would like to make it a hot concert that wont lose to Tokyo, so please come and see it.☆

As for the futsal part, joining last year, and now I am practicing the fundamental plays.

At the beginning, I didn't know what was wrong when I couldn't move correctly during that matches, but as I pile on practices I can reason what part of me was wrong.

But, there is some way to go before the technical portions, so I would like to try hard so I will get one day closer to the day that I will be able to move in a way that will satisfy myself, and that will let me be recognized by the people around me!!

Korenaga Miki

Hello, I am Korenaga Miki. In September of last year I CD debuted as a member of 'Ongaku Gatas'

Until then I was playing futsal as Gatas, and dancing backstage for my sempais as a Haropuro Egg, but when they told me that they I would be making a CD I thought "no, not me!"

Gatas lets me constantly open up new paths for myself.

Right now, as Ongaku Gatas we are in the middle of our first concert tour.

It is diffrent from a All Hello! Project concert, in that we are the leading parts on stage, it is a nervous feeling that i have never felt before, and there are deep emotions that i cant express in words, but i thought again that "Gatas is amazing".

I am the same age as the Gatas Leader Yoshizawa-san but, Yoshizawa-san is a ery reliable person so i often think "She's about 10 years older than me".

No matter if there was a painful or regrettable thing that happened, she absolutely doesn't let other people see that state, I honestly respect that part of her.

In futsal, I am allowed to participate in most of the the games, but the previous Gatas was a team that obviously would win, but recently we have not been able to show a victorious appearance to the fans.

We will aim at being a team that always wins like before and is fun to watch, so please support us from now on also!

Growth
Yoshizawa Hitomi

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi.

I feel that I have grown in both mental and physical parts of myself.

For example, when something serious happens and I get past it, if another big barrier that is similar comes up, this time i can get past this wall smoothly.

Untill last spring I was the leader of groups with big numbers,Morning Musume and Gatas, at the same time, so I felt that a cooperative personality is important in individual members.

There were many times that the things I learned as captain of Gatas came in useful as leader of Morning Musume.

I graduated Morning Musume last year, but this time a new unit called "Ongaku Gatas" was made. I feel that I would like to make use of the experience I have for this next group.

So, from next time I would like to present the Haropuro Egg that participate in "Ongaku Gatas"!

They are very innocent and cute juniors. Please look after them!

Yoshizawa's profile on yorimo

Yoshizawa Hitomi was born in 1985 in Saitama prefecture. Blood type O. Debuted in May 2000 as 4t generation Morning Musume member. Graduated in May 2007 after being the 4th leader and started solo activities. She is in GatasBrilhantesH.P. as Captain.

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi.

Right now I am trying my best at futsal, but from the start I liked exercise, so when I was a child I played soccer, and for club activities I played volleyball.

I feel a charm in not just futsal, but sports also. This is because there are no "lies" in sports.

Often the effort that is put into practice comes out at the real match, and the seriousness and desperateness of the match takes shape and can honestly be seen to the people watching the match.

This is something that is common in all sports.

Even after entering the world of show business, because of Gatas Brilhantes H.P's activity, I understood the fascination of sports, and I feel very happy because of it.

Compatibility of music and sports

Yoshizawa Hitomi

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi

In participating in Gatas, an important thing is the “Coexistence of public entertainment activity and futsal”

Right now I have both activities as a singer and futsal, so I believe that I have attained a balanced lifestyle.

Among the members are ones who have futsal as the center of their activity, and ones that use futsal as a way to let out their stress from work. Everyone is pretty different, but right now I am feeling very good about the stance of doing both music and sports.

The muscles used in sports and muscles used in concerts are different, so the day after a lot of matches, I feel like “My body is sluggish” because of weariness.

But these days I feel that if I quit doing either one, surely my lifestyle’s balance will crumble.

From now on, I would like to make music and sports coexist, and raise the quality of both

The Beginning is crucial
Yoshizawa Hitomi

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi.

Describing the trait of Gatas in one word would be “slow to build up”.

The entry of the match is bad, but when the opponent scores a point, a switch turns on, this is the impression. The when we were doing matches in the Sphere League, that was particularly a strong trend.

Coach Kitazawa often said “The start is crucial!” or “If you move better when you get scored on, move like that from the beginning!”

Gatas is a group of people who hate to lose, so when we get scored on a feeling like “I don’t want to lose” may flare up.

So, at last tomorrow is Ongaku Gatas’s first concert. I will put spirit into it and try my best!!

First Victory, First championship win.
Yoshizawa Hitomi

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi.

The thing that left the most impression in the four years so far in playing in Gatas is the first victory, or championship win. It was the august 2004 Fuji television adventure king “Odaiba Cup” tournament.

The other day I wrote that our first match was a 0-28 great defeat, even after that, like when we entered in the Tokyo club woman’s futsal tournament, we lost badly, and never won a match.

In the “Odaiba Cup” we had the reckless feeling of “Just wanting to win” within the members. In the rain, we all franticly played, and the supporters sent us their hot encouragement.

With wining the “Odaiba Cup” the team gained confidence, and had the spirit of “Let’s persist and try hard for the next tournament”

The “Odaiba Cup” is a match that got the members of Gatas to be even more serious about futsal.

Woman's battle

Yoshizawa Hitomi

Yesterday Ongaku Gatas's first album "1st GOODSAL" was released!
Everyone, Have you heard it yet?

First Edition

Regular

It finished up to be an album with very strong substance and good feeling.
For those of you who haven't yet, please listen to it!

Now, I will again return to talk about futsal.

Right now Gatas is having matches in a a futsal league called "Skylark group league"
which is made up of working women.

Last month on the 20th 6 teams participated and "Skylark group league jonathan stage" was opened.

Our team lost to "Adi-UNIT 5" in a PK match during the finals and got the result of runner-up.

Before " Skylark group league" we had matches in a futsal league called "sphere league" made up of women performers.

There is no difference in the meaning behind matches in "Skylark group league" and "sphere league" but, in the "sphere league" it felt like we were fighting the other team solely based on a "rival in the world of show business" feeling.

In regard to that "Skylark group league" feels like i am fighting "a woman's battle" as a working woman.

A woman's battle that is serious and frantic futsal, not because we are performers.

Especially Adidas-san who won the "Jonathon stage"was playing was extremely seriously. Even in the matches, they didn't go easy on us just because we were performers. I was happy that they came at us so seriously

"Jonathan stage" was our first match of the year so we really wanted to win but...

We would like to leave behind a good record as Gatas by fighting fair and square from now on also.

The Start from Zero.

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi.

When I look back to when Gatas was formed, All members started from Zero, and it was heard for everyone to become the same level.

First we started with basic techniques like traps and passes.

I had played soccer as a child so i mastered this quite fast, but it took a long time before all members were able to do it properly.

Obviously the speed in which people improved is different for everyone, and things didn't go as we thought it would, so honestly there were times when stress was felt.

But all the members hate to lose, so we tried our hardest, and at the end we acquired the basic skills.

Right now we practice twice a week for about two hours.
There are members that cant make it because work is so busy, and there is not much opportunity for everyone to practice together. But Because we have been practicing up until now, even if everyone's practice time is lessened, we became so that we can fight securely in a match.

February 4th, 2008

February 4, 2008
As for the first tournament...

This is Yoshizawa Hitomi

September 2003 is when we, 'Hello! Project' members started Futsal.

In the beginning all 40+ Haropuro members participated and began practicing, but of course
there were some people in the members that were not suited for it, so the coach Kitazawa san and the representative coach of Japaneses futsal picked the athletes from the 40+ people.

From there it was the decision of the players.

It was a pretty much free participation, so only the people that really wanted to do futsal became members.

The next month in October we had our first match with the club team people. The result was
a wipe out, 0 to 28.

All the members had the intention that they put alot of energy into it, but we realized that just putting energy wasn't enough.

Hello there.

I've decided to post my blog translations for Yoshizawa Hitomi's blog for February 2008 that she is doing for Yorimo. I will only post the blogs that I translate, so I'll be putting up the blog from February 4th on out.
